I am still having a post-prom high.

PROM WAS THE SHIT.

So. After three whole days of shopping and getting broke, the day came. I went over to Atiqah's house to curl my hair and got my fingers burnt in the process. Grrr. But hey, I want one of those! Then Shikin came over, Atiqah left for her makeover at Naughty by Nature (coincidentally where I went to apply for a job, freaky) and me and Shikin got all dolled up.

Then we waited for Han and Abel (who looked rather dashing) and Atiqah's dad picked us up and then picked Atiqah up (omg, she looked like a doll! so pretty).

By then, my lovely curly hair had gone flat. Stupid, never put wax duh! Never put hairspray, double duh!

I hadn't eaten the whole day so I could get my 70 bucks worth of food (LOL) and my stomach was screaming for food. We got stuck in a few traffic jams along the way and arrived at 7 pm.

OMG bitches we were at FRIGGIN HYATT!!!

I mean, we always walk past this pretty building to get to Far East, and never did it cross my mind that I would actually enter it for prom. *sentimental moment*

So there we were, tottering in our heels, wondering where the hell to go. Hahaha when we finally found the ballroom, it was teeming with people, all shiny and glamourous. Suddenly I felt so lost. I mean, being surrounded left, right, back and center by Andersonians all excited and making a lot of noise, anyone can get lost.

Then it was a flurry of picture-taking, squealing, wow-you-look-great-ing, collecting door gifts, finding allocated table, and after fifty-four and a half years, we all settled down.

Speeches, then here comes the exciting part. THE FOOD. Of course, the ladies were made to go first (no actually, we made ourselves go first but anyhoo). We were all like heck the dress ima get my 70 bucks worth of food on this very plate! (or more!) I remember taking noodles(which were very good), chicken(okay), stingray(good but not spicy enough), duck(bleargh), steak(yum), mushrooms(YUMMMM im a fungi fan) and to save grace, a bunch of salad stuff. What? Don't look at me like I'm a pig. I will eat you.

Dessert, strawberry cheesecake and brownies on a separate plate, and to save grace again, two slices of watermelon. The desserts rock.

Okay I admit, I didn't finish the duck. It was gross!

I think I gained three kilos right there.

Fast forward to the crazy bitches dancing part. Wow, the closest thing a 16 year old without connections can get to clubbing, and it was fascinating. I didn't know Andersonians could boogie!!! Other than the usual suspects, the rest were like, shaking their asses big time! I was pleasantly shocked, but shock schmock, I joined in the fun duh!

Who cares if we were wearing three inch heels or undanceable gowns LOL

We were all over the floor, the stage, each other... It was mad.

The teachers certainly thought it was mad! Haha their faces were like, THESE crazy psychos who look like they're on crack are our Andersonians?

Then it ended at midnight and we all trudged off to wherever we were supposed to go.. My feet were dead. My shoes were almost dead. Thank God the heels didn't break. But the high lasted for so long, all the way till a few days after. Yeap. Twas good.

And that, ladies and gentlemen, was Grad Night 06.

Town has become my second home. Or something. It's a huge wonder I'm not sick of it yet. Been going shopping for the past two days and it feels like I've been there day and night, week after week after week...

Going again tomorrow, and Thursday, for P-freaking-ROM!

After four years of slogging my arse away in the hellhole of Ang Mo Kio, Thursday will mark the day when I have officially graduated from secondary school.

I bought everything I need already, and now there's a huge hole in my wallet. So sad! So I'll be spectacularly broke on prom night. Goodbye KTV. Lol.

I'm going to wear a dress HAHAHA

Wanted to dye my hair but since I got no moolah, never mind.

I need a bloody job.

Have you guys seen Madonna's video for Jump? I mean, I'm not exactly a huge fan of Madonna, but I must say, this video is way cool. She's given herself an age-lift by getting a sharp bob, and her vid's got these three hot guys parkour-ing around the streets of, I don't know, Tokyo or something. Also, it features sticker and stencil graffiti!

Way cool.

Today is a happy day. It's a day I never thought would come. A day that could not have come sooner.

It's the last day of O-levels!

I AM FREE Y'ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you know how effing great this feels? Hmm? History was kinda bleah but I'm not even going to think about it! Suddenly I've got so much energy in me you know? I can finally set about doing things I've always wanted, and have been planning to do.

Ahhh...

Okay, I'm off to make a list of what I have to do. Ta!

You know when a paper is seemingly, apparently, supposedly okay, and you think, phew, maybe I can score for this one?

And then, you think, you have got to be kidding. You finished the paper with 20 minutes to spare, checked and re-checked and everything looks okay, and you start to panic. Why? Because for prelims, you were literally scrabbling to finish the paper and what is this??? You even had time to double underline all your answers with a ruler!

Hmm.

Admittedly, I have quite a good feeling about the paper overally. But only a feeling. ONLY A FEELING. Tu comprends? Oui? Bien.

I just realised I didn't mention what paper I was talking about. It's Maths. Hee.

Greasy black kway teow in the morning is not a good thing. I kept wanting to fart everytime Kakei did something funny during the paper, like clasping his hands together and fervently praying like a maniac, or violently and noisily dropping his things and frantically picking them back up or whatsoever. Gawd he is one funny idiot.

I have this insane urge to curl my hair. But first, it has to grow.

Sadly, I don't have such a good feeling for Literature. I mean, I took it right, and I feel so cheated. Mainly because I thought that Literature would involve creative input, maybe coming up with a couple of poems or sampling great authors and poets other than Shakespeare and NOT having to analyse and wonder how the writer creates tension and suspense.

But no.

It doesn't work that way. I feel like I'm suffering the same fate as Krishna, except that his role is the teacher whereas I'm the student. Are they forcing us to learn one of life's greatest ironies? That is, learning about something and saying it is wrong, deadening, mind-numbing etc when the way we are learning it is exactly the same. I am living a bloody irony, if that's the case.

I just realised that Wonka Nerds are extremely addictive.

My backache is driving me nuts!

Ah. Tomorrow. Two hours of well-deserved (no, really) pool. Okay, back to Twelfth Night. Ta!

Yes, I have given my blog LE MAKEOVER ie, a new lease of life. Cue sunrise, butterflies and flowers blooming on a Waikiki horizon. Beautiful eh.

I feel so strange, doing this blogging thing. Alas, it has become rather passe, as Xiaxue has moved on from quality posts to TV, and everybody is getting tired of the whole let-the-world-know-what-underwear-I'm-wearing-today kind of exhibitionism often displayed by too many bloggers...

So what if its passe? So what if the whole point of blogging is non-existential? I don't care man.

I just increased my eye degree tenfold because of staring at html for so long, coming up with this godforsaken blog thing, and you tell me it's passe?

I can sense rife speculation. No, nobody in particular told me its passe.

OKAY wait chope.

Just to let you know, I feel annoyed at myself for typing passe as passe without the accented e because I cannot find the goddamn accented e. So now it's pronounced as PASS instead of PASS-SAY.

Anyway.

No, nobody in particular told me it's passe. It's just the general feeling, you know? If you don't feel so, then my utmost apologies, don't get your panties up in a bunch.

Bottomline is... there's no bottomline. Anybody can blog whatever they want, however pus-filled the content and however inane or ugly the pictures.

I'm aiming to stop the pretentious uptight british english no singlish vow I used to blog with last time, and re-introduce more colourful language. And also, introduce visuals when I get a digicam, perhaps in the next lifetime or so. Hopefully.

Till next time, when there's something else to talk about other than the thing we call O-Levels. :)

SYAF I AM

Okay, so I'm this girl right.

Who had big plans to change the world.
When I was young, I wanted to be either a zoologist, veterinarian or pilot.
I wanted to travel and help eradicate poverty.

And then when this girl grows up, she's all like, fack that!
She becomes guilty of things she never thought she'd have done.
She meets people of all shapes and sizes, some beautiful, some downright fugly.
Both inside and outside.
She becomes acquainted with some things called failure and commitment.
She realises love is as elusive as, perhaps, weight loss.

I let my inner demon out through my art.
Enjoy.

Y

SYAF LOVES

green eyes on hot guys, red and purple shoes, pepper and cream puffs, lincoln park at midnight
sitting on carpark roofs talking nonsense, meaningful silences, chewy cookie bits in vanilla ice cream
chocolate icing, shopping till my legs give out, smiling at random people, thinking about stuff

N

SYAF HATES

panadol or whatever pills for that matter, retarded nails, losing my voice, being broke
bananas, my thighs and big ass, man boobs, seeing something i really like but discovering that it costs a bomb

SYAF WANTS

levi's jeans, pimple cream, fake lashes, hair dye, a bigger paycheque, M&Ms
new specs, and possibly a hotass guy to sweep me off my feet
